Courier settings

Courier settings give you fine-grained control over which couriers appear at checkout and how their quotes are presented. You can add surcharges, rename services, group couriers under a single label, or disable them entirely.

All courier settings are found under WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Transdirect Shipping → Courier Settings.

Add a flat dollar amount or percentage to all final quotes across every courier. This surcharge is applied after the base quote is calculated.

OptionExampleResult
Fixed dollar amount$5.00Every quote increases by $5.00
Percentage10%Every quote increases by 10% of its value

Each courier has a checkbox next to its name. Uncheck the box to disable that courier — its quotes will no longer appear at checkout.

This is useful when:

  • A courier doesn’t service your typical delivery areas well.
  • You’ve negotiated rates with specific couriers and only want to show those.
  • You want to temporarily remove a courier during service disruptions.

By default, the plugin displays the actual courier name (e.g. “Aramex”, “Couriers Please”) to your customers. You can override this with a friendly name that better fits your store’s branding.

Enter a custom name in the Rename field next to any courier. For example:

  • Rename “Aramex” to “Air Express”
  • Rename “Toll IPEC” to “Road Courier”

The customer sees your friendly name instead of the courier’s brand.

Assign the same friendly name to multiple couriers to group them together. When couriers share a name, only the cheapest option within that group is displayed to the customer.

For example, if you rename three same-day couriers to “Same Day”, the customer sees a single “Same Day” option at the lowest available price.

Beyond the general surcharge, you can apply individual adjustments to specific couriers.

Surcharge per courier

Add a fixed dollar amount or percentage surcharge to a specific courier’s quotes. This stacks on top of any general surcharge.

For example, adding a $3.00 surcharge to a single courier increases only that courier’s quotes by $3.00.

Fixed price per courier

Override the quoted price entirely and set a fixed shipping price for an enabled courier. The customer always sees this price regardless of the actual quote.

Useful for offering a flat-rate shipping option alongside dynamic quotes from other couriers.
