PayPal integration

There are two different PayPal features in the members area. Most people want the first one.

• Paying for bookings with PayPal. Add your PayPal account as a payment method, then choose it when you book.
• Importing PayPal sales as orders. This is a legacy feature. The PayPal card under Settings > Integrations can still link a PayPal seller account, but the current members area does not run imports from it, so linking an account does not bring any orders in.

Pay for bookings with PayPal

1. Log in to the members area and open Billing.

2. Click Payment Methods, then Add PayPal.

3. A PayPal window opens. Sign in and agree to the billing agreement there. When you finish, the window closes and the PayPal account is listed on Payment Methods.

Your PayPal account is then offered as a payment method when you book.

Bring PayPal sales in as orders

Use CSV import instead of the PayPal card:

1. Download your sales from PayPal as a spreadsheet, keeping the buyer’s name and delivery address.

2. Add a Weight column with each parcel’s weight in kilograms. PayPal does not record parcel sizes, and Transdirect needs a weight to import an order. Add length, width and height too, so the order is ready to quote.

3. In the members area, open Orders, click Import CSV, then Import a CSV, and upload the file. On the Map Columns step, match PayPal’s columns to the Transdirect fields.

If you sell through an online store, a store plugin imports orders automatically instead.
