Multipickup and frequent rates
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Multipickup (also known as frequent rates) is a discounted pricing tier available to Transdirect members who ship regularly. Instead of booking each parcel individually, multipickup consolidates your daily shipments into a single pickup — reducing costs for both you and the courier.
Frequent rates are currently available from:
- Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers)
- Couriers Please
How frequent rates work
Section titled “How frequent rates work”Couriers that support frequent rates offer tiered pricing based on your daily shipping volume. The more parcels you ship per day, the lower the per-parcel rate.
| Tier | Description | Typical requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Regular Transdirect rate | No minimum |
| Multipickup | Discounted rate for regular shippers | Minimum 3 bookings per day |
When frequent rates are available for your account, the Transdirect Shopify app automatically includes them in checkout quotes. Customers see the discounted price without needing to know about the underlying tier structure.
Enabling multipickup
Section titled “Enabling multipickup”-
Contact Transdirect
Reach out to support@transdirect.com.au or call 1300 668 229 to discuss enabling frequent rates on your account. The team will assess your shipping volume and set up the appropriate tier.
-
Confirm courier availability
Frequent rates are currently available from Aramex and Couriers Please. Confirm with the Transdirect team which couriers are available for your pickup location.
-
Configure in the app
Once frequent rates are enabled on your Transdirect account, open your Shopify admin and go to Apps → Transdirect → Settings. Enable the Multipickup option.
-
Verify at checkout
Place a test order to confirm that frequent rates are appearing at checkout. The discounted prices should be reflected in the courier quotes.
Enhanced multipickup
Section titled “Enhanced multipickup”Enhanced multipickup extends the standard multipickup feature by allowing you to book each parcel individually while still receiving the discounted frequent rate. This is useful for stores that:
- Ship orders throughout the day rather than in a single batch
- Need individual connotes and labels for each order
- Want to track each booking separately
With enhanced multipickup enabled, each order is booked as a separate booking in your Transdirect members area with its own connote, but the pricing reflects your frequent rate tier.
Frequent rates in quotes
Section titled “Frequent rates in quotes”When frequent rates are available, the quote response from the Transdirect API includes pricing tiers. The Shopify app automatically selects the best available tier for your account and displays it to the customer.
For example, a Couriers Please quote might include:
| Tier | Price |
|---|---|
| Standard | $11.03 |
| Multipickup 10 | $6.96 |
| Multipickup 21 | $5.75 |
If your account qualifies for the Multipickup 21 tier, the customer sees $5.75 at checkout.

Requirements and eligibility
Section titled “Requirements and eligibility”Volume requirements
To qualify for frequent rates, you typically need to ship a minimum of 3 parcels per day through the participating courier. The exact threshold may vary by courier and your agreement with Transdirect.
Supported couriers
Frequent rates are currently available from:
- Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers)
- Couriers Please
Other couriers may be added in the future. Contact Transdirect support for the latest availability.
Pickup location
Frequent rates require a consistent pickup address. The courier needs to include your location on a regular pickup run. This works best for stores shipping from a warehouse or fixed business address.
Account setup
Frequent rates must be enabled on your Transdirect account by the support team. They are not available by default. Contact support@transdirect.com.au to get started.
