Installation

Getting the Transdirect plugin running on your WooCommerce store takes just a few minutes. You’ll install the plugin from the WordPress directory, generate an API key in your Transdirect members area, and connect the two.

  1. Open the WordPress plugin installer

In your WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to Plugins → Add New.

  2. Search for Transdirect

Type Transdirect into the search box. The plugin will appear in the results as Transdirect Shipping.

  3. Install the plugin

Click Install Now on the Transdirect Shipping plugin card. Wait for the installation to complete.

  4. Activate the plugin

Once installed, click Activate to enable the plugin on your store.

The plugin needs an API key to communicate with the Transdirect quoting engine. You generate this key from your Transdirect members area.

  1. Log in to your Transdirect members area

Go to members.transdirect.com.au and sign in with your member credentials.

  2. Navigate to API Modules

In the members area, go to API Modules.

  3. Select WordPress from the dropdown

In the module type dropdown, select WordPress.

  4. Add a new module

Click Add New to create a new API module for your store.

  5. Enter your site domain

Type your WooCommerce store’s domain name (e.g. www.yourstore.com.au) into the domain field.

  6. Generate the key

Click Add. Your new API key will be displayed on screen.

  7. Copy the API key

Copy the API key to your clipboard — you’ll need it in the next section.

  1. Open WooCommerce shipping settings

In your WordPress admin, navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Transdirect Shipping.

  2. Enter your API key

Paste the API key you copied from the Transdirect members area into the API Key field.

  3. Save your settings

Click Save changes to store the API key.

  4. Test the connection

Click the Test API button to verify that the plugin can communicate with Transdirect. You should see a success confirmation.

Once the connection test passes, your plugin is ready to configure. Head to the Configuration guide to set up display modes, default item sizes, and quote preferences.
