Configuration
After connecting your API key, you can customise how the plugin behaves at checkout. All settings are found under WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Transdirect Shipping.
Show on Cart
Section titled “Show on Cart”Control how the shipping calculator appears on the cart page.
- Shipping Calculator Title — Customise the heading text displayed above the shipping calculator (e.g. “Estimate Shipping” or “Get a Shipping Quote”).
- Default Delivery Address Type — Set whether the default address type is Residential or Commercial. This affects quote pricing, as some couriers charge differently for residential deliveries.
Default item size
Section titled “Default item size”Enter default package dimensions that the plugin uses when a product doesn’t have its own custom dimensions set in WooCommerce.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Length | Default length in centimetres |
| Width | Default width in centimetres |
| Height | Default height in centimetres |
| Weight | Default weight in kilograms |
Warranty
Section titled “Warranty”When enabled, the warranty option adds the product’s value to the quote calculation. This means the insurance/warranty cost is factored into the shipping price shown to your customer.
Enable this if you want shipping quotes to include cover for the goods being transported.
Module display mode
Section titled “Module display mode”Choose how shipping quotes are presented to your customers. The plugin offers three display modes:
Full Calculator Mode
Displays a full shipping calculator on the checkout page. Customers can enter or adjust their delivery details and see live quotes update in real time.
Best for stores where customers may want to compare multiple shipping options or adjust delivery preferences.
Simplified Mode
Hides the calculator interface. Quotes are automatically generated based on the customer’s delivery address without any additional input required.
Best for stores that want a clean, streamlined checkout with minimal friction.
No Display Mode
No shipping quotes are shown to the customer at checkout. However, if order sync is enabled, order details are still pushed to your Transdirect members area.
Best for stores that handle shipping separately or use flat-rate shipping but still want order data synced to Transdirect for easy booking.
Quote display
Section titled “Quote display”Control how many quotes are shown to the customer after they’re generated. These settings are applied after any advanced options such as courier settings and rules.
Display All Quotes
Shows all available courier quotes, sorted from cheapest to most expensive. Gives customers full visibility over their shipping options.
Display Cheapest
Shows only the single cheapest quote. Simplifies the checkout experience by removing choice — customers see one shipping price.
Display Cheapest & Fastest
Shows two quotes: the cheapest option and the fastest option. Gives customers a simple choice between saving money and saving time.
Tailgate
Section titled “Tailgate”Enable the tailgate checkbox to automatically include tailgate (hydraulic lift) requirements for items weighing over 25kg.
When enabled:
- A tailgate surcharge is included in the quote for both pickup and delivery.
- The surcharge is calculated and included in the price shown to the customer — there are no hidden fees.
