Plugins and integrations
Transdirect connects to e-commerce platforms in two ways: live checkout rates, where your customers see Transdirect courier prices as they check out, and order import, where your sales arrive on the Orders page of the members area ready to quote and book. Bookings, labels and tracking then work the same way whichever integration the order came from.
WooCommerce, eBay and Custom API keys are connected under Settings > Integrations in the members area. The Shopify app links your account when you sign in inside the app, and the Magento extension uses your Transdirect email and password. Need an account first? Sign up free.

WooCommerce
Section titled “WooCommerce”For stores on WordPress with WooCommerce. The free Transdirect Shipping plugin shows live courier rates at the cart and checkout, and sends orders to the members area. You install it from the WordPress plugin directory and paste in an API key you create on the WooCommerce card in the members area. Rules, surcharges, courier choices and boxing are set in the members area and applied to every quote.
Transdirect never asks for your WooCommerce Consumer Key or Consumer Secret. The plugin only uses the Transdirect API key you enter in WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Transdirect Shipping. If you have shared a Consumer Key and Secret with anyone, revoke them in WooCommerce.
Shopify
Section titled “Shopify”For Shopify stores. The Transdirect app adds live courier rates to your Shopify checkout through Shopify’s carrier service, and syncs paid orders to the members area. When you book an order, Transdirect can mark it fulfilled in Shopify. You install it from the Shopify App Store and sign in or create an account inside the app, so there is no key to copy. Most settings are inside the app; shipping rules open in the members area.
Magento (legacy)
Section titled “Magento (legacy)”For stores still on Magento 1. The open-source extension shows live Transdirect quotes at checkout and can sync orders. It signs in with your Transdirect email and password. It is unmaintained: it has not been updated since 2015 and does not support Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce. On Magento 2, use the REST API.
For eBay sellers. Connect your seller account in the members area and Transdirect imports your unshipped orders automatically, then adds the tracking number to the eBay order once the booking has a consignment number. The separate eBay postage calculator generates a quote link to paste into your listings.
PayPal
Section titled “PayPal”To pay for bookings with PayPal, add your PayPal account under Billing > Payment Methods. The older PayPal order import is a legacy feature that the current members area no longer runs. To bring PayPal sales in as orders, use CSV import.
CSV import
Section titled “CSV import”For anyone with orders in a spreadsheet, or moving from another system. Upload a CSV, XLSX or XLS file of up to 1,000 rows from the Orders page, map the columns, and the orders are ready to quote and book.
Building your own?
Section titled “Building your own?”If your platform is not listed, or you want full control, use the REST API. Create a Custom API key under Settings > Integrations, then follow the Quickstart to quote and book. You can also push your sales in as orders with Create an order.
A store plugin’s key and a Custom API key are separate keys, each with its own settings. Use a Custom API key for your own code.
