CSV examples

These examples show how to format your CSV for common scenarios. You can download the CSV template from the Orders page in your Transdirect members area.

Every example uses the full 23-column template header. A template-format file must include all 23 columns in this exact order — see the field reference for details.

Single carton to a business address

A single carton shipped to a business address with all fields populated.

Single carton to a residential address

When shipping to a residential address, leave the Business Name field blank.

Note

The Carrier field is left blank in this example. This means all available couriers will be quoted, and you can choose the best option from the Transdirect members area.

Commercial address type

Both Business and Commercial are valid values for the address type — they are treated identically.

Signature on delivery at the Frequent User rate

Set Frequent Rate to Yes to book at your Multipickup Frequent User rate (if your account is eligible), and Signature Required to Yes to add a SIGNATURE REQUIRED delivery instruction.

Multi-item order

When an order contains multiple items with different dimensions, use the same Order ID on separate rows. Order-level fields (receiver name, address, etc.) are read from the first row.

In this example:

• Row 1 contains the full order details and the first item (a 10 kg carton).
• Row 2 shares the same Order ID (1005) and only includes the item-specific fields for the second item (a 3 kg carton). All other fields are left blank because they are inherited from the first row.

Caution

The Order ID must be identical on all rows belonging to the same consignment. If the Order IDs differ, Transdirect will treat them as separate orders.
